2013: New Season for the Mascardo's

E X I T...I think the spells the way out, you ready to make a run for it...

So this is why dad says it's a challenge to take us to a formal gathering, because all we want to do is play!

All right everybody, we know it's been awhile since you heard from the Mascardo's but I can assure you it has nothing to do with me walking, talking and getting into everything.  We've just been a little busy, as you can see from the pics.  From family gatherings, to outings at the beach, birthday parties and just spending time with family and friends.  Enjoy!

We love Vietnamese New Year! and it has nothing to do with these red envelopes filled with money.

Mascardo boys acting normal, well normal for us.

FUN IN THE SUN IN THE SUMMER

At the beginning of June, our family took our first family trip for the summer of 2012 and we flew out to Florida for Ate Jessica's High School Graduation.  We stayed in Florida for about a week.  It was so much fun, we hung out with family (Auntie Chris, Uncle Kimo, Ate Jess and Kuya Tony), went to the beach (the water was like bath water, swam in the pool with our "floaties".  We spent most of our time outside in the Florida sun.  Just to prove it, we all have a great summer tan.  Here we are enjoying the pool at Navarre Beach with Kuya Tony

Baby Shiloh "kicking" at the pool

It's us, J.J. and Micah kicking it (soccer balls) at the park

Here we are at Micah's 3rd Birthday Party at McMaster Park, I can't believe it, my little brother is 3 years old.  I can still remember him when he was just crawling around, those were the days.

And you know, you haven't been to a Mascardo Birthday Party unless you've played one of their wild and crazy party games.  Here's a pick of the kids in a relay race, since it a was a "Zoo" themed birthday, each of us had to run and eat as many worms (gummy worms) in the bowl.

Here are the adults playing the same game, but instead of worms, my dad decided to feed them "veggies".  Probaly because they are older, it would be easier for them to digest veggies as opposed to gummy worms.

I know what you're thinking, I thought Micah's party was a "Zoo" theme, we'll everything was except for the birthday cake.  I guess that's what makes the Mascardo birthdays just a little different from your average kid's birthday party.

Here I am with dad blowing the candles on one of my birthday cakes, we'll you already heard about the "Cars' Birthday cake, this one mom made especially for me, it's a lion birdthday cake.  Not sure if you can tell, but I had a fever that day and I wasn't my usual self, it's kinda hard when you don't feel good, and you're running a fever, with a sore throat and runny nose.  But like my dad said "The Show or rather the "party" must go on.

Here we are with Stephen-Fua at VBS (Vacation Bible School) and we learned that "nothing is imposible for God" He can do anything!

Our second family trip was down under or rather down south to San Diego, we visted the San Diego Zoo and hung out at Mission Bay.  Here's a picture of our baby sister Shiloh, better known to us as "Shai-Shai"...doesn't she look cute.

We decided that we would spend our afternoon making a sand castle and I was just showing Micah what was needed, wet sand, dry sand and, hey Micah, what are you doing?  Did you bury dad's wedding ring again, I think he's going to be a little upset like last time"

J.J. are you sure this glue will wash off, it seems like I'm stuck.
Yes, Micah just keep holding your hand like that.

Here we are with our beautiful mom.
We love the way that she takes care of us.

Here's Shai-Shai hanging out with dad by the tree.

Here we are with dad, sitting by the USS Midway in San Diego, it seems that everytime we go to San Diego, dad likes us to take pictures here, so you can say it's almost a tradition, since this is the 2nd year that we've done this.

Here is my and Micah, looking for "sea creatures" at the La Jolla Coves.  I thought it would be appropriate for me to wear my "shark" shirt, on the other hand Micah thought it would be more fitting to wear a dinosaur shirt for the beach, one day he'll understand.

So far, we've found, hermit crabs, sea cucumbers and little fish swimming in these tidepools.  Tidepools are so cool, don't you think"

Shiloh wanted to hang out with us looking for sea creatures but mom and dad said she's too young. Don't worry Shi', you'll be playing with us pretty soon, just as long as you ditch the flower patterened hat.
