6 Months Old: Friends, Mexico & Easter

This is a picture of Mercy at her birthday party. She's cool, she can wear a nice dress and still play in the dirt. A lot of my friends were there, Kaylee, Skylar, Caleb, Kristiana and Belli.

Mom, me and dad hanging out at Borders at the Block.

My first taste of oatmeal in Mexico.

Victoria and me haning out in the foyer after church service.

MEXICO MISSION TRIP

As some of you may know, I took my first Mission Trip to Mexico on March 14-16. Dad leads most of our church mission trips, so it was cool to see him serve other peole, but most of all try to speak his "Spanish". As you can see the picture below, I completely fit in. For my first time on a mission trip I had a blast, can't wait to go back again.

There were about 45 people who attended the mission trip. For such a short time, there was so much that we did. On Friday, Mom and I went to an outreach for the elderly, they did manicures for the older ladies. On Saturday, we went to a facility for special needs kids. It was real cool because God used me to minister to the kids there by just laughing and smiling. It's kinda funny, because we think we have a lot to offer them, but it's really them who have a lot to offer us. I thank God that He gave us this chance to see Him work in all of our lives.

Uncle Johnny, why are playing with my dirty diaper?

HAPPY EASTER SUNDAY!
He is risen...He is risen indeed!

It was sometime before 6am on Sunday, March 23, and mom and I were to driving to the Home Depot Center Tennis Stadium. You might ask, why we were going there. Well, our church was celebrating Easter, which is the resurrection of Jesus. You know, the biggest event for us as Christians, simply the fact that Jesus rose from the dead, after being crucified and taking on the sins of the world upon himself, He was victorious over death. Wow, I guess you do learn alot from Sunday School.
It was my first Easter so I was pretty excited. There were a lot of people there, for the most part I was asleep, but I heard from my mom and dad that It was so cool to see many people receive Jesus into their heart that morning. Also the worship team and choir sang one of my favorite songs, "Mighty to Save", I just can't wait until I can sing, so you better believe that will be one of the first songs that I learn. Here are some pictures right after the Sunrise service.

Later on that morning, we had Easter Sunday services at the church. Mom had me put on a tie, since Dad was wearing a suit. Please excuse a couple of the compromising pictures with Juliana and I, our parents made us pose like that. We have not intention of furthering a relationship after the photo shoot, so Uncle Eddie, you don't have anything to worry about.

"Uncle Randy, are you trying to practice your Bible Study on me? I'm sure it will be all good."

In the afternoon, we celebrated "Tatay's" (Grandpa's) Birthday. "Man, I can't wait to eat cake"

FEBRUARY "FIRSTS"

MY FAMOUS J.J. FACES

One of the February "Firsts" would be eating my first real meal. I know it's just rice cereal, but it's a real meal to me. Here I am in my "high chair", just anticipating a great meal. And you can tell by the look on my face and the pictures that I LOVE RICE CEREAL!
Another February "First" would be my first time on an "airplane" and on a bus. Mom, dad and I took a flight to Phoenix, Arizona. Dad was officiating the wedding ceremony for Auntie Brianna and Uncle Tim. Mom and dad said I did pretty good on the plane, they were worried about my ears popping because of the altitude, but it didn't seem to bother me. I think you can see in the picture of dad and me on the bus I look amazed at what I see outside, dad just looks dazed and confused, probably because he was tired from the 6am flight.
ON THE AIRPLANCE & ON THE BUS

These next couple of pictures are from my photo shoot at the wedding, which was in Scottsdale, AZ. As you can see I'm getting the hang of this "modeling" thing. If you can't tell my suit was designed by Kenneth Cole "Reaction", thanks to Auntie Mercedes. Unfortunately, the third picture shows that I'm getting a little tired of hearing them say "strike a pose".

Tim and Brianna's wedding was the first wedding that I was able to attend. It was pretty cool, I just don't get it...if weddings are supposed to be one of the most happiest events in life, then why do people cry?
TEMPE, ARIZONA
While we were in Arizona, we stayed with our relatives, Ong Thang, Ba Dao & Uncle Ben. It was real cool, because they made me laugh a whole lot, especially Uncle Ben. Our relatives live in Tempe, Arizona, which is pretty close to Arizona State University. On our last night, we were able to take a walk along one of the rivers, it was a real nice sunset, almost as nice as California sunsets.
MY FAVORITE COUPLE IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD!

MY 2nd FAVORITE COUPLE
My First Anniversary Celebration. On February 16th, we celebrated my Nanay and Tatay's 40th Wedding Anniversary at this Japanese restaurant called "Tokyo Wako". From what my mom and dad, it's a great thing that Nanay and Tatay have been married for 40 years. I'm barely going to be a year old in September, and Nanay and Tatay have been married 40 times one year...that's a really long time. There were some "cool" people at the celebration, Auntie Michelle, Riley, Uncle Mark, Uncle Randy, Auntie Christina, Kloie, Kristiana, Kaylee, Uncle Victor, Auntie Precy, Uncle Boy and Uncle Raymond.
I just don't understand...Why is it that just because you're a baby, they try to force you to do things you don't want to do. As I said before I'm not ready for P.D.A (public display of affection)

The final February "First" was celebrating "Vietnamese New Year" with mom's relatives. Grandma Nancy bought me, Bella and Maddy Traditional outfits. For some reason, I just wasn't "feeling it", probably the beanie.
