Oh...did you see that...there it goes
We want to say thank you or better yet "Fa'afetai" for all our Samoan speaking friends, for praying for the mission team from Calvary Chapel South Bay. The Lord did an amazing work during our time on the island of American Samoa.
Here is my first step at the beach in American Samoa.
As you can tell the water is crystal clear.
Me and Stephen-Fua swimming at the beach, I guess our dads still don't believe that we can swim. Remember dad, you took me to swimming lessons.
Here we are at the Marketplace on the island. The marketplace is place where the farmers sold coconuts, bananas, etc. Dad and I were speaking to a woman about the gospel, she's the one holding the balloon animal.
Hey Stephen-Fua, be careful you might hurt Pastor Stef.

During the mission trip, Stephen-Fua and I were able to see all these cool places and it seemed like we were always the center of attention.

Me and Stephen-Fua went with our parents on a day trip to Western Samoa and we had to ride on this small propellor plane, everyone was pretty scared, except for me and Stephen-Fua...I guess God allowed us to be there to comfort our parents.

The lady in the pretty white dress is Tusi. We met her at the hospital when were ministering to all the sick people. When auntie virginia, auntie angela and uncle walter first met her at the hospital she was angry at the world, because they made her feel like an outcast. But after they shared the love of Christ with her, a beautiful smile came beaming from her face. God is good, all the time because He reaches out to everyone.
Here I am with my adopted "grandma's"
Here's Stephen-Fua's dad, Pastor Tuvai sharing a message at a local church. He's so cool, he can share a sermon in english and samoan.

I love it when Pastor O sings God is so good before we share our meal!
On the first day of school at Samoana High school, dad was able to encourage and pray for the high school students at their general assembly. It was an awesome privilege for dad to share with the students and faculty. Here's a picture of me dad and Principal/Pastor Siolange
This is me and mom, I just touched and squeezed my first sea cucumber, I guess it's like auntie diana says to stephen-fua...not edible.
One more word...Chickens. Next time you see my dad ask him about the chickens in Samoa, in particular have him share about the why the chicken who crossed the road did not make to the other side. Just don't let him know I told you.
One thing about Samoa is chickens... the chickens are free to roam all over, in the backyard, in the road wherever they feel like. Unfortunately for this chicken he's tied up, I wonder if he's going to end up at the only Kentucky Fried Chicken on the island...
The Lord really used mom on this trip. Mom had the privilege of ministering to a woman by the name of Nguyen, in her native tongue, Vietnamese. She was a seamstress who live only a few yards away from our hotel. Mom spent some time with her everyday to keep her company but also to see if she understood Christianity. Mom was also able to go with Auntie Hazel and Auntie Angela to the Social Services Department and share a little bit of what she did for a living, before she had me. Just in case you didn't know mom used to work for the Public Health department for the City of Long Beach, so she was able to share her knowledge in this area.
Here we are at Pizza Hut for our last meal on the island of American Samoa, with 4 out 6 Sagaio kids, from the left, Tavita, me, Danielle, Charity and Nehemiah. As you can tell I'm eyeing that last piece of pepperoni pizza.

Dad and the Sagaio brothers. Nehemiah and Tavita, quarterback for Tafuna High school and future quarterback for...time will tell.
Thanks again for all your prayers for us during the mission trip! Here's a video of something that I was able to do in Samoa that I'm not able to do here in the mainland.
