Hanging out with the Mascardo Boys

Hello Everybody! We know it's been a while since our last entry, we've been pretty busy. So we thought you would get a kick out of this one. We call it "Sleeping with style. I (J.J.) actually fell asleep on my bed like this. I heard it helps the circulation to the brain so I decided to try it out.

This is called "The Brother's Hands"

One of the things you can find us doing on a sunny Spring afternoon is we'll be at the Gardena Civic Center lawn...looking for bugs. All kinds of bugs, from ants, to grasshoppers and even those what do you call it again...oh yeah, "roley poleys".

Hey Micah, does this picture make me look Chinese, even though I'm a Vietnamese Filipino?

Yup, you sure like Chinese...like that one Chinese girl on that cartoon...what's her name?

Her name is Kai Lan.

Enjoying the afternoon at Disneyland!

Dad and the Mascardo boys with Goofy!
J.J. and Uncle Stuart

Here I am at Chuck E. Cheese and this kid just jumps in my ride. "Hey dude, do I know you?". Just because we're Asian doesn't mean that you can just jump in my ride."

I'm practicing my "surprised" look with Auntie Abbey

Alright, Destiny, can you hand me the screwdriver?

Me and my buddy, Stephen-Fua

Auntie Kendra and Micah

Me and Julianna taking a break on the Cafe stage. This is typically where we hang out on Sundays after church service. As you can tell, we were just running around screaming our heads off. For some reason this releases the tension that builds up during the week, you should try it next time, we're sure it will help you relieve your stress.

Here we are, Me and Uncle Alejo. Just in case you didn't know, he and Auntie Bethany are getting married on May 22nd. And guess what? They asked me to be the Bible Bearer. Not too sure what that is, but I know it has to do with carrying a bible. This will be the first wedding that I'm in. I'm pretty excited, I get to wear this cool 3 piece grey suit and carry the Bible down to my dad, who will be performing their wedding ceremony. But you know the best part of this is...I get to wear my very own "Chucks" you know "Converse" shoes, none of those shiny black dress shoes that you rent from the tuxedo shop.
One time my dad was in a wedding and he picked up the tuxedo and he didn't bother to take a look at the shoes, and as soon as he was dressed for the wedding and ready to put on the shoes, he realized that the shoes were both "left feet shoes". So the moral of this story is always check your shiny black dress shoes from the Tux shop or get asked to be in a wedding where you can wear "Chucks."

Here I am with Pastor Rob. He stopped by for a photo opportunity with me.

Here I am with Mike and Gwen Bradford, they are really cool adults always smiling and talking about Jesus.

Now I'm posing with Uncle Darren and his wife Elya. They are going to Russia this summer on a mission trip. Keep them in prayer as they share the Gospel in Russia.

I'm sporting the traditional Vietnamese National attire.

Here's Micah with his Vietnamese gear

Hanging out with "Nanay" and "Tatay".

Here we are having lunch at Chili's at the Pike in Long Beach. Mom and dad like to take us out restaurants so we know how act proper and handle being in public places...so far so good...right, Mom and Dad.

One quick note before we leave is that we have a prayer request. We ask that you pray for our family and 20 other individuals who will be leaving on June 6th for a 10 Day Mission Trip to the Philippines. This will be the first time for me, Micah and Mom to go to Dad's "Motherland"...I'm not too sure why they call it that...maybe you can let me know.
We're really excited about going, we'll be helping those in great need and sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with the people. So keep us in prayer that God would use all of us in a mighty way. Well, until next time...take care and God bless.
